How to Register free .np domain in 2022?

Before proceeding any further, please get 2 documents in your hand-
1. Identification Certificate / Business Registration Certificate
2. Signed / Stamped Cover Letter

1. Go to and click ‘User Login‘.

2. Click ‘Create User‘ button to register.

3. Fill up the necessary details and click ‘Create account‘. Remember to provide your working email address. Also, follow the rule of creating password. Normally, they accept password with minimum 7 characters that contains at least 1 uppercase letter and at least 1 numeral.

4. Check your email for the confirmation. Click on the confirmation link that comes along with the email from .np Registry at Mercantile Communications Pvt. Ltd. Your email address is then verified.

Do check in SPAM folder if you do not see the email with confirmation link in the inbox.

5. Go to and login using the email address that you provided, and password you created.

6. You will be taken to dashboard of .np Registry. Type in your desired domain name. Select desired ccTLD (For example- You may select,, or for an individual.). Click Search‘ button.

7. Once you are satisfied with the available domain address, click ‘Register Now‘ button.

8. In the domain request form, first provide the name server details (primary name server, and secondary name server).

If you have host of your website, type in the name servers provided by them. If you are using to host your blog, you can first link the name server to any registrar, for example – Go Daddy. Then, you can use Go Daddy to forward the domain request to Blogger-hosted blog.

9. Type in administrative contact details and technical contact details.

You can tick the box to copy administrative contact details for technical contact details.

10. Click ‘Save and Continue‘ button.

11. In the documentation upload section of the application form, upload your identification document, and cover letter. Remember, any file can not be more than 200 kb!

If you select the document title option as ‘identification‘, upload identification document. For an individual, identification document can be citizenship certificate, passport, voter card, or driving license.

If you upload citizenship certificate, remember to upload both pages. These can be 2 images or both pages in same image file.

For document title option as ‘business registration‘, upload registration certificate of the business that you represent.

If you select the document title as ‘cover letter‘, upload the cover letter.
