How to Connect Google Analytics 4 to WordPress | Integrating GA4 and WordPress

Stage 1: Add your Website as Property in Google Analytics

  • Go to Google Analytics.
  • Click Admin > Create Account (only if you need).
  • Click Create Property.
  • Put the Property Name (perhaps some word(s) you use to call your website).
  • Choose Time Zones and Currency Settings.
  • Click Next.
  • Provide information on Industry Category, Business Size, and Purpose of Using Google Analytics.
  • Click Create.
  • Choose Web.
  • Click Create.
  • Give the URL of your website.
  • Finally, click Create Stream.

Stage 2: Integrate Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in WordPress Website

  • Click Admin on Google Analytics DashBoard.
  • Select the GA4 Property ID (with the name that you provided) under Property column.
  • Click Setup Assistant.
  • Go to Tag Installation and click on the arrow-head icon.
  • Click on your Property ID.
